The Data Protection Act (DPA) aims to provide for protection of personal data obtained in the processing of an individual’s personal information, it outlines incidences where personal data is to be processed and the necessary security safeguards required in the processing of personal data. The Data Protection Act establishes the Information and Data Protection Commission (IDPC) which will exercise its powers in terms of the DPA.
We have necessary frameworks and policies to ensure your personal data is processed correctly.
We have accordingly established the Data Protection office and appointed the Data Protection Officer to keep us accountable.
We will tell you what we need your personal data for and not keep it longer than necessary.
Personal data is collected for a clearly specified and explicit legitimate purpose. Unless specific exceptions apply, the collected personal data about you won't be kept any longer than is required to fulfil the purpose for which it was acquired or processed.
We will only ask for relevant personal data that what we need, we will not use your personal data beyond what we need to.
It is within our interests to limit the amount of personal data we collect, use, share, and store. We collect the minimum amount of personal data we need to fulfil our purpose.
Personal data shall be accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date.
