Stanbic Bank Botswana promotes inclusive growth through Botswana Pension Society Conference In a continued effort to promote inclusive growth, Stanbic Bank Botswana will once again sponsor the annual Botswana Pension Society (BPS) Conference, a platform for dialogue and positive action for the enhancement of the industry. The Conference is particularly relevant to Stanbic Bank’s Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) portfolio, through which the Bank offers a variety of Investor Services including Custodial and Trustee services. Custodial services are imperative for safeguarding financial assets of pension funds and other institutional investors. This year, the Conference will be held at Cresta Maun Hotel on the 25th and 26th of February 2019.
In addition to sponsoring the Conference, Stanbic Bank is an active participant through address by Stanbic Bank Botswana Head of Compliance, Shathani Molefe. Molefe’s focus is on Ethics and Compliance.

The BPS is an independent, non-profit organisation that promotes retirement planning to members of retirement funds and the general public. It is overseen by a Management Committee comprising of industry stakeholders engaged in the management of retirement funds. Some examples of these industry experts include but are not limited to, asset managers, consultants, actuarial and audit firms, as well as specialists in the industry.
